Deputy Marshal of Tombstone by Terence Cuneo

 

A brilliant condition self portrait print (painted in 1956), featuring Terence Cuneo himself, open edition and ideal for any Cuneo collector.

This picture is a reproduction in nine colours by a Photo Offset  process of the painting in oils. It was painted by Terence Cuneo to commemorate what he regards as one of the most entertaining incidents of his life, when he was invited to Tombstone as a guest of honour for Helldorado, to witness the re-enaction of Wyatt Earp's famous gunfight in 1881 which he,  painted in 1949 to illustrate the life of that famous Marshal of the old West. The Saddle and the bridle were presented by him by the Vigilantes of the town.

Terence Cuneo has made a name in this country for his painting of the Coronation Ceremony of Queen Elizabeth 2nd in Westminster Abbey, and also for many other royal occasions. There are also fine examples of his work for British Railways on every main station.  

This print will be rolled in Acid free tissue paper and dispatched in a suitable tube by tracked courier.
